On the 22nd of November, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, TX while riding in a
motorcade through Dealey Plaza. There never was any known backlash as a result of his capitulation to
Russia’s demands to remove and destroy America’s missiles in Turkey.
In 1964 Khrushchev fell from power in part due to loss of face in the Cuban missile crisis.
