I'm sure the weather hasn't changed much over the years. It was always windy and rainy or at least overcast. I remember a few sunny days and that was when we went outside in our shirt sleeves. The Airman's club was the most popular spot on the rock. Navy, Marines, Army and Airmen spent many hours together in this club.I'm referring to the years 1956 and 1957.

Thanks for visiting the Adak Forum! I spent what little time Reeve Aleutian Airlines remains on the ground letting passengers off and taking on new ones while on my way to Shemya. Sounds like the nightlife was at least a little bit like Shemya's!
