My father was a mess sergeant on the Aleutians in WWII. He was on Dutch Harbor on June 3, 1942. He always said, "We got bombs for breakfast." I never did know if he meant the Japanese or his cooking. (he was a terrible cook).
Anyway, I would look forward to talking to anyone who was on Attu or their descendent's about their experience. |
