was stationed at Umnak and Chernofski Bay from May
1942 to December 1944. Six of us, USN Radiomen, set
up weather reporting stations at each site. Was
there when the metal airstrip was installed on
USNAAS Ottoer Point, Umnak. I would like to hear
from you, and would be happy to give you any info I
could. Met a few Navy pilots, but do not remember
their names off the top of my head. If you know of
anyone, or surviving relatives, I would sure like to
hear from them!
