MEMORIAL DAY

Well once again it is here

The day when you are in my thoughts continually

Lord knows how I wish you were here Dad

All these years growing up without you

And yet I can feel you right here with me always

As if you never left me

I am so proud to be your daughter

Proud to know that you gave your life for our Country

And did it with great pride

I have spent many of hours weeping

And will once again when June 5 arrives

But it is a nice release of tears

Because I know you are with the Lord

And watching over me always

I do not fear death and a wait for that day

For we will finally be together

So until then I will continue my journey in life

And continue to never let anyone forget you
