(as submitted by his son, Tim Harvey)

1944 - 1945

Stationed in the Aleutians from October 1944 through December of 1945, Owen Harvey served with the 404th Bombardment Squadron as a radioman/radar operator. These pictures are from his Shemya photo scrapbook (he had a permit to carry a camera on base). In 1947 Owen joined the newly-formed United States Air Force and worked on missile telemetry systems (in Florida, mainly) until 1951. Owen passed away on the 11th of January, 1998.
