Shemya post-wwii scrapbooks (bruce stern)
I was on Shemya from April 68 to April 69. I worked in the orderly room under Col. Ashworth and Capt. Dorsey. When I arrived boozer was still walking around. On New Years day (1969) I and the rest of the base attended boozer’s funeral. Bruce Stern. Bruce sent these photos to us in 2006.
1. Reeve Aleutian Airways, Shemya 1968. Reeve would make two trips a week, typically on Tuesdays and Fridays. Pilot Pat Kelly would land regardless of the weather conditions at the time, delivering fresh foods, mail, and passengers.
